About the Wine:
Beck Ink is a blend of Zweigelt and St Laurent grapes. It is a super introduction to the red wines of Burgenland, Austria. The grapes are handpicked and use natural fermentation in stainless steel tanks, with 10 days of maceration. They are then pressed and aged in old barrels. This wine is all about the fruit, it's dark inky red in colour, with juicy berry fruit, herbs, a little spice and some refreshing acidity. It's an easy-going wine for every occasion. Enjoy it chilled in summertime!
About the Producers:
The winery has been in the family for generations, with her parents and grandparents owning it before her. When Judith Beck was 21 she decided to take over from her father and completed internships in France, Italy and Chile.
"In 2001 I finally started to work in the family winery and my father quickly handed over all the responsibility for the cellar to me. My first vintage was 2001. In 2007 we converted to biodynamic viticulture, which was a very important step for me."
What story does your wine tell? The story of our area, the traditional grape varieties, our soils and myself.
