A blend of xarel.lo with chardonnay. Xarel.lo of the oldest vineyards on the estate; between 60 and 80 years old.
Pale straw yellow with golden and bright reflections. Very fine and persistent bubbles. Notes of fresh fruit and dried herbs on the nose. Fresh, fruity and good acidity on the palate. About the producer
Mas Comtal comprises 40 hectares of organically vines, located in the easternmost part of the Penedès region, at the foot of the Garraf mountains. Geographically, it is at an altitude of 350 metres above sea level, with soil from the Quaternary period composed of sand, mud and clay. The soil is very limy, of average quality and is highly permeable to water.
The estate has been owned by the same family since 1355. MAS COMTAL owes its name to its membership in the county of Barcelona at the beginning of the second millennium. Its status of family farm begins in the late fourteenth century and since the mid-eighteenth century bears the surname of MILÀ.
Marta Milà is responsible for the management of the winery and the cultivation of the vineyards and together with the rest of her team.
